I'm not sure what makes you get kernal errors in the new version :S are they to do with R4 or the ATI DLL file?

At least the menu works. I'd be interested in hearing about those Kernel errors tho' - its rock solid on this PC.

I've got the same error on almost every 'water' effect beyond the standard one. It doesn't seem to be rendering the water, though a 'watery' version is visible in the PBuffer, the only thing being drawn onscreen is a gray or black texture. In Cubefield on Water and Water biotunnel, all that is rendered is a black screen. On things like 'Water Medusa', only a standard Medusa is drawn.

This is on a Radeon 9500 Pro with the Catalyst 3.8 drivers.

As well, when setting the PBuffer sizes to 2048, the first effect is displayed, and then it reliably crashes when transitioning to the next effect.

have you tried lowering the pbuffer size to 512x256 or 256x256?

Been a lil busy so havent had as much time to CRASH my PC but definitely related to the same 'Trouble Scenes', removing them alleviated most issues immediately.

I will play w/the ICON inclusive BETA 007 and report my findings.

Setting aside whos implementation of OpenGL function(s) maybe (in)correct I seriously doubt the #X card is incapable. Its obvious the pbuffer function is implemented/defined slightly different than nVidia.

I know your friends might stop associating w/you but somehow we need to get your hands on a ATI card. Ill be at COMDEX next month maybe besides the 'HOT MODELS' and the Worthless sales/mktg personal might be a Geek/Contact at ATI for you.
