i already suggested that in the winamp forums, i think its the better place here.
There are scenes which play greatly with just one R4 image.
How about a scene that (requires some coding, thats the bad part)
shows the COVER of a song just like the Cover&Tag plugin for winamp does, playing around with it with the great effects of R4 ?
this would be the best visual pugin for me.
what do you think ?

In the meantime people can use samurize and this script... http://free-st.htnet.hr/crni/foobariPod.html

It should create a nice overlay over R4, it might slow down the frame rate of R4 though. If you normal desktop is something like 1280x1024 and you run R4 at 800x600, then the overlay will be very big so increase the resoloution of R4.
