noob question : how can i make announcements ?

hello, i've been palying some days with R4 now and it's by most far the best (winamp) plugin i ever saw !!
now i have this question

when i want to use these overlays :
-announce (3d, oldskool etc...)

there appears a text wich says : use the web interface to enter announcements

how or where can i do this to change this text in something i typed ?

Have a look in the readme file for proper instructions.

Basically, you have to turn the web interface on in the R4 settings and restart. You can then use a web browser on your PC (or another) to change scene and also type the text in that will appear for announcements.

There's nothing built in at the moment I'm afraid.

If you're reasonably good at HTML coding you can write a webpage that reloads itself every few seconds and calls cmd.html with the correct parameters (check what parameters by looking at how the announcement is called).

Hi there,

I have read your post (Guest) and thought about it. So I added a few lines to my R4 Remoter...
now there is a new feature: Scheduling..

thank u for this idea...
