cant disable the creation of a log file

hey guys.

i tried to run R4 from a limited access windows xp account. i got an error saying that it couldnt write to the log file in \program files\r4\data, and winamp shuts down. this makes sense because the limited access account prevents users from saving anything.

so i changed the account to administrator, launched R4, and noticed that the log and txt file settings are all off. R4 still tries to create/write to a txt file despite the settings telling it not to.

how do i prevent this from happening?

R4 always create new log file, even you've switched it off. in this case log file will contain only few lines - info about R4 version and some sytem variables. as i know, you can't disable writing log file at all, also R4 every time saves changes in prefs.txt, so you can't run it anyway without writing permission/possibility.

trying to run r4 in windows 7 x64 here

exact same problem, impossible to run r4 as a plugin for winamp... unless there is a way to elevate the program's priviliges?
