New twist 'Could not write to log file' happens w/XP as well

Found out that if you go to change the media directory while R4 is still active you will get the same error and shut down just like occrurs w/9x.
Only if you close R4 before you change media and then restart it will you not get the error.
Update> Appears any changes whether by manual selection, through the PlayList or however causes the error.

Cannot Write to logfile

I'm getting the cannot write to logfile error.
im running windows 2000 professional with a Powercolor Radeon 9550 256 megs.
any ideas?

Which version of R4 do you have?
The latest is 1v12 (from this site). Even if you have it, try de-installing it and then re-installing it. That might fix the problem...

I have had this problem for at least 5 months, but i never really thought much of it. a few days ago i tried installing the new version from the site, but i still got the same problem. i doubt uninstalling a reinstalling will change anything, but just to make sure, i will do it anyway. if i dont post again saying it works, then it didnt.
