video playback problems (trying to play .AVI / .MPG)

Helllo, When trying to play a video (.avi) file from R4 ( as seen in the video example in the /predefine directory) I receive following error whens starting R4: object not found.Can someone tell me how I should play videos (.AVI,MPG). Do you need Winamp to be installed for this ? Many thx. Tommoz

hi, i assume u use the video module to play the video file, that only plays avi files that are located in the R4/data/video directory, if u use vidplay u can also play mpeg, and give absolute paths, so u have not to put the videos into the r4 directory. winamp does not have to be instaled, but u should check if the needed codec is instaled propperly. i whould suggest to install tsunami filter pack or the klite filterpack.
