When loading R4 it would freeze about 3/4 the way into the load. What i tired and it worked was i put the "exe" in Windows2000 compatibility mode. my system specs as follows.
WinXP pro / 2.4c P4 / 512x2 of Geil DDR3200 Duel Channel / GeForceFX 5900 128mb / Seagate 120gig SerialATA / running the 45.23 dets / and that is all you should need to know.

ok in xp this is what you need to do if the program will not load. go to where you unzipped R4. right click the R4.exe, select properties, then click the Compatibility tab, from there click the box for "Run this program in compatiblity mode for:" then select Windows 2000 from the pull down list. After that just click Apply then OK and it should load.
And to guest i'm getting my 3.0c P4 this month from intel at a nice price so don't worry i'm upgrading ;)
