Has anyone asked about this before?

XBMC is Xbox Media Centre, its software that runs on a chipped xbox. The visuals they bundle in with XBMC are known as milkdrops, they look pretty sweet but still nothing on R4, the language of the xbox is python and i wondered how hard it would be to port. I use r4 in a VJ setup for nightclubs and charity functions and this feature would allow my rig to be half the size at least!

There is no way on earth it will run on an XBOX,

MilKDrop doesn't really run all that well tbh but it is a nice port.

The specs are too low for the XBOX and the R4 is written in OpenGL graphical language.

The XBOX will run graphics stuff under DirectX graphical language and that is what MilKDrop was written in.

Also if it could be made to work there really isn't a market place for it. There are many more platform that would be done first.....Mac, Linux, etc and they are not likely do be done anyway.

For a smaller VJ setup buy a small form factor PC like a Shuttle. You will never get a oversized PC again.

R4 might run on the Linux XBOX project, given it works under WINE, and that should work on the XBOX. Its very unlikely to work on XBMC if thats the thing i am thinking of because its OpenGL though (as Rovastar said)
